Well it had to happen soon. This afternoon whilst on the way to Surrey Rolling Road, final checks were being made on the new setup. Now running 2bar+ the car was pulling seriously hard, our expectations where high. However the gearbox had other plans and decided it had enough as third gear was ripped to shreds. It's a known weakness of the pulsar, in fact its one of the pulsars only mechanical weaknesses, the gearbox that is. As a result of this the gearbox will now be rebuilt with a standard gear set, the power reduced back to something more sensible and the car will be sold. We proved what we set out to, that was the 3071 as a very capable turbo and on a pretty simple setup, and finally using a remapped stock ecu, and we now have the figures to back it up, We were really hoping for the 450+bhp graph, and we may no never really know what it was making but it goes without saying it was seriously quick.
